LOW BLOOD PRESSURE:
Low blood pressure is readings lower than 90 systolic or 60 diastolic
Causes:
Dehydration, Blood loss, Severe infection, Pregnancy, Heart problems, Endocrine problems such as hypothyroidism, hypoglycaemia etc. kidney failure,shock.
The symptoms of low blood pressure include lightheadedness, dizziness, and fainting.
Treatment:
Depends on the reason for your low blood pressure.
1.Drink more water.
2. Follow a healthy diet. Get all the nutrients you need for good health by focusing on a variety of foods, including whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and lean chicken and fish.
3. Sleeping with the head of your bed slightly elevated.
4.Meal:Eat small portions several times a day.
5. Exercise : Include a little exercise in your daily regime. A walk or a quick swim can help circulate the blood.
6.Limit your intake on foods that are rich in carbohydrates i.e. potatoes, rice, bread, pasta etc.
7. All kind of stress should be avoided.
8. If you are suffering from dizziness: Take any of these
a) Mix two table-spoon of honey in a glass of water, and add a pinch of salt to it and drink it.
b) Drink almond milk.
c) Pomegranate has proved to a great remedy for low blood pressure. Eat it as a fruit, and crush it and have its juice.
d) Drinking dark coffee gives instant relief to the condition.
If your blood pressure falls too low, call a doctor immediately.
