
DARK SKIN OVER ELBOWS AND KNEES:
You may develop dark knees and elbows from early childhood due to a variety of reasons.
The knees and elbows are constantly bending, standing and coming across friction at all times.
The constant friction on the knees is what results in the darkening of the skin around the knees and elbows ,other reason is Poor skin care.
Prevention:
1)Wear full sleeve clothes and full pants.
2)You can message a moisturizer in to your elbows and knees.
3)Apply sunscreen regularly while going out.
4)Take care and stop leaning on elbows and you will notice the change
5)Eat a healthy diet full of vitamins and minerals for perfect skin nourishment.
6)Drink lots of water
Cure:
1)Wash with soap and luke warm water regularly.
2)Use a scrub. Scrub the dark area gently with a pumice stone. Don't be too rough when scrubbing your knees and elbows. be gentle and only exfoliate once every two or three days in order to avoid skin irritation.
3)Lemon juice helps loosen and fade dead skin cells and dry patches. Cut a lemon in half. Rub into knees or elbows.
4)Since the skin on your knees and elbows does not have any oil glands, you can massage in some oil every other day. Olive oil, jojoba oil and coconut oil are excellent options.
5)Mix some coconut oil with some lemon or lime juice and apply it to your knees and elbows. Leave it on for 25-30 minutes, then wipe it off with a towel.
6)Another natural home remedy for fading dark spots is vitamin E oil combined with equal amounts of lemon juice and vegetable glycerine.
7)Aloe Vera gel reduces dark scars/sun damage caused by over-exposure of knees/elbows.
