This cool, creamy wonder can make your food a lot more interesting with very few calories. Read on to know how you can make your food tastier and healthier with yoghurt.

Yoghurt or curd as we know can be a part of appetizers, main course or dessert. This versatile source of protein is low on fat and a healthy replacement to cream, mayonnaise etc.

Here are seven fun ways to eat yoghurt

 1)Let’s make a dip:
Instead of using mayonnaise or cream dips use yoghurt as a dip. Raita dips like palak raita and cucumber raita taste great and have a higher nutritional value. Add some veggies, a pinch of rock salt and black pepper to yoghurt and your yummy dip is ready

2)Spread it on bread: Hung yoghurt can serve as a nice and creamy spread for bread. It can be used in sandwiches and even burgers

    3)The over-night thing:
Soak oats in yoghurt and keep it over-night. Add fruit and a little sugar for a sweeter version and vegetables, a pinch of spice and salt for a spicier version. This no-cook oats dish is healthy and tasty at the same time. If you plan to make this your breakfast, soak at night and it will save you a lot of time

    4)Do it sweet:
If you are looking for a low fat dessert, frozen yoghurt or fruit yoghurt can be a great option. Do not buy the sweetened yoghurt available in the market. Just made one of your own by adding some fruits of your choice. This way you will cut down on a lot of sugar intake.

4)Time for a smoothie:
Banana and strawberry smoothie, apple smoothie, the options are endless. Just throw in some fruits, add yoghurt and blend. These smoothies are great post work-out and a good breakfast option too

  • 6 Bye-bye cream and cream cheese: Replace all your recipes with cream or cream cheese with thick yoghurt. Use it with your nachos and tacos. Add thick yoghurt to make your pasta creamy

    7)Sauce it up:
Tangy yoghurt-based sauces can be used to cut down the richness of proteins from salmon, lamb or chicken wings. Sauces can also be used as creamy salad dressings. Add lemon, shredded onions and cucumber or olives to make the tangy sauce or dressing.

There are many other ways to eat yoghurt, all you need to do is to improvise and be imaginative. How do you eat yoghurt
