So it is very important to know the dos and don'ts of washing your hands. Here are some tips on how to wash your hands, how to use your hand sanitizer and how to keep your hands healthy and clean:

When to wash your hands:

As we work in our office, home or any other place, we touch so many things and our hands get dirty with all the dust and filth. Our dirty hands can infect our body as we touch our nose, mouth and eyes with dirty and germ full hands. Although it is impossible to keep your hands 100% germ free but washing your hands frequently can limit the transfer of bacteria.

Don’t forget to wash your hands always before:
1. You prepare your food
2. Eating
3. Treating wounds
4. Giving medicines or giving first aid to some injured
5. Inserting or removing contact lenses

Don’t forget to wash your hands always after:
1. Preparing food and eating food.
2. Using the washroom or changing a diaper
3. Playing with or touching an animal
4. Working in dirty environment
5. Treating wounds or using a medicine
6. Handling a chemical, garbage or any sort of contaminated stuff such as cleaning cloth or shoes.
You can wash your hands whenever you notice them to be dirty.

How to wash your hands:

Wash your hands with a soap and water to avoid germs. You can keep your hands dirt free by following these simple steps:
1. Wet your hands with water
2. Rub a soap, handwash or powder soap on your hands
3. Lather well.
4. Rub your hands vigorously for about 20 seconds and don’t forget to rub the back side of your hands, between the fingers, wrist, palm and the area under your fingernails.
5. Rinse well
6. Dry your hand with a clean towel or with the help of a air dryer.
7. If possible use your towel to turn off the faucet.

Note: Always keep in mind that antibacterial soaps are not at all effective at killing germs than is a normal soap. The use of antibacterial soap can lead to the production of bacteria which are resistant to the product’s antimicrobial agents thereby making it tougher to kill the germs of your hands
